Another Coloradoan to Interior

Salazar fills most Interior slots with fellow Coloradoans-

His predecessor, Dirk Kempthorne, former Idaho governor, filled DOI with Idaho people, most of them long time foes of conservation, with scores to settle with Idaho conservationists.

Secretary Salazar’s people certainly have a different policy perspective, but almost all are coming from just one state — not surprisingly his home state.

This brief article is about the appointment of an “economic-stimulus money ‘czar’ ” at DOI.

I think too, Salazar is a small-minded man with limited horizons … THEN after a while, those c’boy hats seem to squeeze lonely brain cells – and make them even lonelier … Maybe too they still use mercury in the expensive c’boy hats …

In the case of Idaho, the Idaho boys were all of one lockstep environment-hating mind with the Bushies. Thinking back to pre-Kempthorne days – weren’t a bunch of Gail Norton’s Interior people Coloradans?

AND just so we all are aware of the financial straits of the Denver mayor’s office.

http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_11854993 Story about the work week being cut to save $$$ in the Denver Mayor’s office in the same edition as the Interior Kingpin selection.

Maybe Salazar picked this fellow to get him off the Mayor’s payroll – and save Denver precious dollars. Does anyone know the new Interior spending Czar? And WHEN do we get a Czarina overseeing something in the Salazar Interior? Kempthorne’s Idaho Good Old Boys Appointee Aristocracy was notably lacking in women ..

Gale Norton is Ken Salazar’s predecessor as Colorado’s Attorney General – he also supported her nomination to Interior.
